German director, screenwriter and producer Maren Ade, who made waves at Cannes in 2016 with father-daughter drama Toni Erdmann, has been introduced because the president of the Cannes Movie Competition’s quick movie and scholar movie competitions.
She shall be joined by director, screenwriter and producer Reinaldo Marcus Inexperienced, actress, singer and songwriter Camélia Jordana, producer, photographer and former Director of the Filmoteca Española José María Prado and director and screenwriter Nebojša Slijepčević.
They’ll determine the quick movie Palme d’or and the three prizes for the Cinef scholar movie competitors.
Eleven quick movies, chosen from 4 781 submissions, are in operating for the quick movie Palme d’Or, spanning 9 fiction works and two animated shorts. 5 of the contenders are directed by girls.
