Warner Bros introduced on Friday that Mickey 17, its darkish sci-fi comedy starring Robert Pattinson (The Batman), will make its world streaming debut on Max on Friday, Might 23. The movie will debut on HBO linear at 7:40 p.m. ET. on Saturday, Might 24.
Written and directed by Bong Joon Ho, the filmmaker behind historic Oscar winner Parasite, Mickey 17 adapts the novel Mickey7 by Edward Ashton. The story follows unlikely hero, Mickey Barnes (Pattinson), who has discovered himself within the extraordinary circumstance of working for an employer who calls for the last word dedication to the job… to die, for a residing.
Mickey is an “Expendable” — a disposable employee on a colonization mission to the icy planet Niflheim.
