UK TV presenter Andrew “Freddie” Flintoff has revealed that, following his automobile crash whereas filming automobile present High Gear, he didn’t go away dwelling for eight months as he struggled to return to phrases along with his accidents.
Flintoff, beforehand an England cricketing star, was left with extreme facial accidents following a crash in 2022, whereas filming High Gear for the BBC. He has now made a DisneyPlus documentary documenting the accident and its aftermath.
The Solar newspaper studies that Flintoff spoke to TV host Jonathan Ross for his ITV chat present, to be aired this weekend within the UK, wherein he detailed the extent of his nervousness leaving his home. Flintoff mentioned:
“The one instances I used to be leaving the home was for medical appointments and surgical procedures.
“I used to be scuffling with crippling nervousness. I needed to have about 5 or 6 goes at leaving the room — needed to have a chat with myself within the mirror.
“I’d not proven myself with out a face masks to anybody. It was like beginning once more.”
Flintoff shared that he ultimately travelled to his London workplace whereas sporting a bucket hat, glasses and a masks. There, a buddy of his noticed him and mentioned, “F*** me – it’s the invisible man.”
The long-running BBC present was instantly suspended following Flintoff’s accident, and has not been on air since. Flintoff earned a reported £9million in compensation for his accidents.
Since then, he has filmed a quiz present for ITV, and in addition a second collection of Area of Desires, which follows him teaching cricket to a bunch of schoolboys and taking them on tour to India.
