2023 was my first Holi celebration at Suryagarh. Personally, I’m not a fan of the way in which the competition is widely known by most individuals. We took selfies, we chatted with company, we loved the scrumptious meals and the superb cocktails that Himanshu was concocting behind the bar, we loved the music and we took within the breathtaking view the whole night.
The sundown was completely spectacular. I couldn’t get sufficient of the sky and the bushes AND the horses because the night continued. Finally, the winds picked up and there was desert sand blowing within the wind and the Saxophonist continued to play and it was MAGICAL. Lastly, we packed up and began to drive again to the lodge and by the point we received to the lodge, it began to rain!
It has NEVER rained in March, on Holi, in Jaisalmer – no less than not on the lodge so far as I’ve surmised, after asking a number of the veterans who’ve been with the lodge since its inception. It was one thing else. A night, that I’m not going to overlook anytime quickly.
