Following its Cannes premiere, Richard Linklater‘s black-and-white tribute to Jean-Luc Godard has launched a sneak peek.
Within the first teaser for Nouvelle Imprecise (New Wave), premiering October 8 in theaters, Guillaume Marbeck portrays the French-Swiss filmmaker as he directs his first characteristic, 1960’s Breathless, in Paris.
That includes the identical heat black-and-white ’60s movie aesthetic of the seminal supply movie, Nouvelle Imprecise is “informed within the type and spirit by which Godard made Breathless,” directed by Linklater from a script by Vince Palmo, Michèle Halberstadt, Laetitia Masson and Holly Gent.
Together with Marbeck as Godard, the solid contains Zoey Deutch as American actress Jean Seberg and Aubry Dullin as her French co-star Jean Paul-Belmondo.
The teaser options photographs from Nouvelle Imprecise, narrated by a girl in French. “A fairly boy. A fairly lady. Paris 1959. A gymnasium. A director. A digital camera. Movie. A producer. An ingénue. Stars. Cash,” she says, main as much as the title card.
Following the Competitors title’s world premiere at Cannes on Saturday, the viewers on the Palais gave Nouvelle Imprecise an 11-minute ovation.
