The Final of Us returned to HBO on Sunday evening with a promising efficiency for the Season 2 premiere.
The episode managed 5.3 million same-day U.S. cross-platform viewers, which outpaces the Season 1 premiere by about 10%, HBO says.
When it debuted, the premiere episode introduced in a same-day viewers of 4.7M, which on the time was the biggest debut after Home of the Dragon since Boardwalk Empire launched in 2010.
For context, the Season 1 premiere finally went on to amass almost 32M viewers, which is the biggest viewers for an HBO and Max debut season ever.
