The 2025 Met Gala celebrates the brand new Costume Institute exhibition “Superfine: Tailoring Black Model,” with a costume code of “Tailor-made for You.” This 12 months’s theme is impressed by visitor curator Monica L. Miller’s 2009 e book, “Slaves to Vogue: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Id,” and marks the museum’s trend exhibit centered on menswear since 2003.

The 2025 gala is cohosted by Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky and Pharrell Williams, with LeBron James serving as an honorary chair. For the primary time since 2019, the Met is bringing again its custom of getting an extra host committee. Following the key gala on Monday, the exhibition opens to the general public on Saturday and runs by Oct. 26 within the Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Exhibition Corridor. The exhibit is curated by Miller and the Costume Institute’s Andrew Bolton, William DeGregorio and Amanda Garfinkel.
